AUTUMN IN DC
Washington, DC
One has to get up early in the morning to catch the sights before the crowds. I was pleasantly surprised how the new fall colors perfectly accented the Washington Monument in the background.

DC RUSH
WASHINGTON, DC
City life in DC is well known for art and culture. One doesn't have to venture far to find it. We can even see the creative spark in everyday venues like the Metro.
DISTRICT WAKENING
Washintgton, DC
With so much to see in the nations capitol one often can capture some of the most popular sights from one venue. Here I captured the Lincoln Monument, Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol on early morning as seen from Arlington, VA.
FALL REFLECTIONS
WASHINGTON, DC
Washington D.C. is best discovered by foot but if you have to get around as fast as possible a bicycle often is the best option. That is just what I did this fall morning. I found the cool morning a perfect time to capture the sun rising just behind the tree line as seen from the Constitution Gardens pond. The morning light was a perfect complement to help illuminate the fall colors.
JEFFERSON 4AM PANO
WASHINGTON, DC
Living in the DC Metro area for nearly 20 years has its privileges. I've put off shooting the DC area for years so it's about time to capture some of its best. I started early - 4am to be exact. I almost turned away thinking the sky was too black but just as I started packing up I noticed that blue hour had just begun. As seen from across the Tidal Basin. This is a combination of three frames spliced together in one panoramic image.

MONUMENT BLOOM

MORNING BLUSH
Washington, D.C.
The cherry blossoms in D.C. are always a spectacle. Perched along the Tidal Basin, and framing the D.C. monuments, the pink and white hues capture the perfect spirit of D.C. in spring. Capturing Nature’s art requires patience and timing. The first bloom is one of the most popular times to tour D.C. I knew of the challenge to capture such a scene without the huge crowds. As typical, I scoped out the site days in advance. Once the blooms were at their peak, I ventured out to the site before daybreak to ensure the optimal light, and it was well worth the effort.
