  • City life in DC is well known for art and culture. One doesn't have to venture far to find it. We can even see the creative spark in everyday venues like the Metro.

  • With so much to see in the nations capitol one often can capture some of the most popular sights from one venue. Here I captured the Lincoln Monument, Washington Monument and the U.S. Capitol on early morning as seen from Arlington, VA.

  • This is a view of the Atlantic tower at the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. I thought was an interesting perspective, yet one of the more chanllenging to capture. I opted to link my smartphone to my camera to check composition and trigger a remote shutter.

  • Lincoln is easily one of the most popular and recognizable figures in American history. He's so popular that I found myself surrounded by at least 500 of my closest friends all clamored in the monument.

  • Framing the Washington Monument the reflecting pool was in full effect on this cool spring night.

  • Living in the DC Metro area for nearly 20 years has its privileges. I've put off shooting the DC area for years so it's about time to capture some of its best. I started early - 4am to be exact. I almost turned away thinking the sky was too black but just as I started packing up I noticed that blue hour had just begun.

  • Early morning is the best time to visit the monuments in DC. No one is crazy enough to be out this early. I had the place to myself so I took full advantage of the opportunity.
